The Global Power Group designs, manufactures, and erects steam generating and auxiliary equipment for electric power generating stations and industrial markets worldwide. Its steam generating equipment includes a range of fluidized bed and conventional boilers firing coal, oil, gas, biomass and municipal solid waste, waste wood, and low-Btu gases. The Global Power Group also provides research analysis and experimental work in fluid dynamics, heat transfer, combustion and fuel technology, materials engineering, and solids mechanics. In addition, this group builds, owns, and operates cogeneration, independent power production, and waste-to-energy facilities, as well as facilities for the process and petrochemical industries. Foster Wheeler serves a range of industries, including upstream oil and gas, natural gas liquefaction, gas-to-liquids, refining, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, healthcare, and power generation.
