This segment process 2D and 3D seismic data acquired by the company's own crews, as well as data acquired by other seismic data acquisition companies; and re-processes older seismic data. In addition, the company performs work for seismic data library companies. Geokinetics serves national and international oil companies, as well as smaller independent exploration and production companies. The company provides its seismic data acquisition services in the Gulf Coast, Mid-Continent, California, Appalachian, and Rocky Mountain regions of the United States; western Canada; Canadian Artic; Central and South America; Africa; the Middle East; Australia/New Zealand; and the Far East. Geokinetics was founded in 1980 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
