Its motorsports facilities promote stock car, open wheel, sports car, truck, motorcycle, and other racing events. International Speedway also uses its track facilities for testing teams, driving schools, riding experiences, car shows, auto fairs, and concerts, as well as for settings to television commercials, print advertisements, and motion pictures. In addition, the company rents show cars for promotional events; maintains a motorsports-themed entertainment complex; creates motorsports-related programming content carried on radio stations; and provides catering services, food and beverage concessions, and merchandise sales. As of November 30, 2004, it owned and operated 13 motorsports facilities. The company was established in 1953 as Bill France Racing, Inc. and changed its name to Daytona International Speedway Corporation in 1957. Further, it changed its name to International Speedway Corporation in 1968. The company is headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida.
