It provides investment management services to clients that include large corporate and public retirement plans, foundations and endowments, high net worth individuals, and Taft-Hartley plans, which include multiemployer trust funds established for providing pension, vacation, or other benefits to employees. KeyCorp, through its nonbank subsidiaries, also provides other financial services that include accident, health, and credit-life insurance on loans made by its subsidiary bank, principal investing, community development financing, securities underwriting and brokerage, merchant services, and other financial services. As of December 31, 2004, the company operated 935 retail banking branches, a telephone banking call center services group, and 2,194 automated teller machines in 17 states. KeyCorp was founded in 1849 and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio.
