The company also holds interest in the Yangshan Gold Belt consisting of three concession areas, including Guanniuwan, Hongyangou, and Guojiagou located in Yangshan Gold Field; the Anba project located in the in the Yangshan gold field; BYC Gold project located in central Inner Mongolia, China; Gobi Gold project located in western Inner Mongolia in the south Gobi Desert, China; and Jinniushan gold project located in the western Hunan Province in the People's Republic of China. In addition, it holds interests in White Silver Mountain Project located in Gansu Province, China for the development of base metals. The company was founded in 1982 as Caprock Energy, Ltd. and changed its name to Consolidated Caprock Resources, Ltd. in 1989. Later, it changed its name to Minco Mining & Metals Corporation in 1993 and to Minco Gold Corporation in 2007. Minco Gold Corporation is headquartered in Vancouver, Canada.
