Pharmaceutical segment engages in the design, manufacture, and marketing of glass-lined reactor and storage vessels, engineered systems, and mixing systems and accessories, including instrumentation and piping; and secondary processing, dosing, filling, printing, and security equipment used by the pharmaceutical, healthcare, nutraceuticals, and cosmetics industries. Energy segment provides equipment and systems, including hydraulic drilling power sections; down-hole pumps; and a line of ancillary equipment, such as rod guides, rod and tubing rotators, wellhead systems, and pipeline closure products and valves, which are used in oil and gas exploration and recovery. Industrial segment provides cavity pumps and related products, such as grinders for use in the wastewater treatment, specialty chemical, food and beverage, pulp and paper, and general industrial markets. These products utilize cavity technology to provide fluids-handling solutions for a range of applications involving the flow of viscous, abrasive, and solid-laden slurries and sludges. This segment also manufactures fluid-agitation equipment and systems; fluoropolymer-lined fittings, vessels, and accessories. Robbins & Myers was founded in 1878 and is based in Dayton, Ohio.
