Red Hat sells its products to customers directly through its sales force and Web store; and indirectly through distributors and resellers, telecom/network technology companies, and independent software vendors in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific. It has strategic alliance with Intel Corporation and Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. The company was founded in 1993. It was formerly known as ACC Corp., Inc. and subsequently changed its name to Red Hat Software, Inc. Further, the company changed its name to Red Hat, Inc. in 1999. Red Hat is headquartered in Raleigh, North Carolina.
