Schweitzer-Mauduit was incorporated in Delaware in August 1995 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Kimberly-Clark Corporation and became an independent public company, pursuant to its spin-off from Kimberly-Clark in November 1995. The company is headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia.
