In addition, TAM serves as a tourism operator, and involves in the packaging and sale of tourism and corporate events in Brazil and internationally. The company was founded in 1976. It was formerly known as CIT — Companhia de Investimentos em Transportes and changed its name to TAM -- Companhia de Investimentos em Transportes in 1997. Further, the company changed its name to TAM S.A. in 2002. TAM is headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
