What To Do When You Wake Up To Get Ready For Trading

When You get up in the morning to head to the trading room, I want you to take an approach that you might have not even noticed or possibly blocked it out..........

Trading is a JOB take it just as seriously as if you were a Lawyer, Doctor or a School Teacher. Would you go to work in your underwear without a shower for 3 days?

#1 HOW TO TAKE A SHOWER-Practice makes permanent

GENERAL INFORMATION:

What is it? Taking a shower helps keep the skin clean and protected from infection. It may also help you relax and feel better. If you have special needs check with the caregivers before taking a shower. These needs may include having recent surgery, an IV, drainage tubes, casts or dressings. Carefully follow the directions of the caregiver.

  • Safety tips for taking a shower:
  • Special equipment for bathing safely can be bought from many drug or medical supply stores.
  • Put grab bars on the walls of the shower. Grab bars are strong bars that are fixed firmly to the walls around the shower. These will help you get in and out of the shower. Grab bars can be bought at medical supply or hardware stores.
  • To keep from falling in the shower, put a rubber mat or nonskid treads on the bottom of the shower. You may also put a nonskid chair in the shower to sit on if you feel tired or weak. The chair may just be used to sit while washing your legs and feet.
  • Put a bath mat on the floor beside the shower. Do not put a towel on the floor. A towel can move when standing on it and cause a fall.
  • Keep a small bell near the shower to ring if you need help.
  • Keep the door unlocked to make it easier for someone to offer help if needed.

#2 Get Dressed for work and head to the pre-market or previous nights nightly update and get a feel for whats going on. But most importantly GET DRESSED as if you were going to a job outside the home.

#3 Eat Breakfast

If we skip breakfast, we are likely to become tired when our brains and bodies run low on fuel. By mid-morning, a lot of us grab a cup of coffee, or wolf down a sugary candy bar to wake up again. This might work for a few minutes, but by lunch time we are hungry, crabby, and perhaps our mood might make us a little more prone to making unhealthy choices (or stock trading by lunch.) Eating a good breakfast sets the tone for the rest of the day.

And always Remeber the theme song to cheers but maybe we can come up with a creative new song "in time" that applies to trading.
