Stock Trading

If you trade stocks online, invest in stocks, trade the stock market, looking for advise on how to trade stocks effectively and looking for the tools to effectively trade the stock market. Including the right tools to research for investing, or day trading or swing trading. Including but not limited to penny stocks and high beta momentum then this tutorial is for you. Technical Analysis Update

A comparison between two things that are alike in some aspects, inferring that they will therefore be similar in other ways "Eventually".

The analogy here is that stocks are bricks and the market index is equal to a bag of feathers (This is not to be confused with which weighs more a pound of bricks or a pound of feathers when it comes to "weight" they are equal)

Which will fall faster off the empire state building

BRICKS Are Stocks In Bear Markets

FEATHERS Are The Index In Bear Markets (They always lag, getting dragged down kicking and screaming)

The pound of bricks would fall faster. The reason the pound of bricks would fall faster has to do with the effect of air resistance and aerodynamics. The bricks are more compact and dense and would fall faster than the pound of feathers. The pound of feathers would have so much more surface area and lower density that they would fall much slower than the bricks.

Now, if you take out the effect of air resistance, such as by conducting this experiment in a perfect vacuum, you would then observe the two to fall at the same speed. Without the air there to provide resistance to the falling objects, the 1 pound of each material would fall equally fast and you would observe them hitting the floor at the same time (if released at the same time...)
